The power of breakfast?

I woke up with a very strange urge today:I wanted to have (no 'wanted' is not the right word... I needed a full warm breakfast. My usual breakfast is a pot of strong Mocca Java. So I end up making toast, hash browns and eggs (a la 'this is your brain on drugs'). It really really really hit the spot. wow!I have so much energy right now. I think that I will go painting...

Let's see (God I can talk for eons about this!):Favorite movement? I don;t have one. I can say that enjoy pretty much all art and I am pretty open minded. Everything I see has something to teach me, no matter if I would never put it on my wall. I don't like to consiously imitate anyone (not that I could either). A lot of the super realists or the old masters get my huge admiration for what they are doing. I cannot do that with a brush, my talents move away from that direction. For realism I use my camera. Not that I do not like realism. If it do a realistic work probably looks more like Fransisco Clemente. I like surrealism, minimalism things that make me think.Stuff I do:I mainly use three kinds of supports: Solid media, binary media and film. I mostly paint (acrylics and pastels) on canvas or paper and preferably large to huge size. Most of my work would be classified as figure studies, since people are included. I love the depth and the complexity of the human body as well as its availability as a subject. I have been fighting recently with geometrics/landscape/texture/mixed media etc. but it is hard for me because I have to see something in order to place it on my mind's canvas before I start working...I am still fighting. I have a love-hate relationship with my work: If I do not hate it enough while I am doing it I will hate it later (or not love it).Computer: Graphic design mostly. I really admire people that can use photoshop or canvas to create art, I cannot. My mouse movements are too decisive to let me do so. Also some play with photos I take etc. Photography: Prety much everything: People, places, things. Some commisioned work. I like to shoot crowded street scenes, serene old forgotten cemeteries and people. I love shooting natural or available light portaits as well as messing around with old obsolete equipment. I use photography to capture the moment and feelings in a way that I know I am totally inadequate doing on canvas. I haven't used digital cameras yetPortfolio? Gee. I do not have a digitally availably portfolio for most of my work. I am working on creating a web site to put all that stuff in and I will give you the URL as soon as I have it up, if you like. I'd try to dig some stuff up also. What kind of art do you like to do?

Well, maily photoshop to manipulate the image to its final form. Believe it or not, it started life as a pastel on paper, scanned at 1200 dpi.I am glad you like it, I don't really. I think that it is missing something... Addition of a person/animal/something-mobile-living of a complimentary colorset (pink-red-orange) would do wonders...
